OUR STORY
BCN Montjuic Tourist Point started as Limebuns Adventure Travel in April 2012. It was founded by Emil C. Maravillas and Jennelyn N. Valenzuela, who both come from the Philippines.
Emil and Jenny discovered they share the same love and passion for travel and the outdoors. They wanted to impart their travel passion, knowledge, and the beauty and grandeur of Barcelona and its surrounding cities to others. Thus, Limebuns Adventure Travel was born.
The company began as an online travel experience provider, specializing initially in inbound tourism for clients outside Spain.
Limebuns was renamed Limebuns Travel and Tours and opened it's physical office in Barcelona in April 2017. Hence, creating the brand BCN Montjuic Tourist Point.
Why BCN Montjuic Tourist Point? BCN stands for Barcelona. The company is at the foot of Montjuic Hill. Tourist Point connotes a gathering point where everybody is welcome. Thus, BCN Montjuic Tourist Point is for everyone who wants to live out their travel dreams.
Tour participants had such high levels of satisfaction with BCN Montjuic Tourist Point’s tours that word about the travel company’s quality service quickly spread. Even during the pandemic, Emil and Jenny remained attentive to the needs of their clientele. They responded with unique and tailor-made offerings, branching out to personal shopping services called Pasabuy and offering adventure tours to domestic tourists.
Today, BCN Montjuic Tourist Point is a destination management company offering more specialized services: a one-stop shop for a client’s travel needs. Their offerings are more bespoke, customizing travel plans according to the client’s needs and budget.

Emil C. Maravillas
Founder / Managing Director
Emil is an avid traveler, hiker, and adventurer. Hailing from the beautiful and charming region of Bicol in the Philippines, he arrived in Barcelona in April 2006 with a degree in Economics. Emil was open to opportunities and always dreamed of starting his own business. So, when the opportunity came for him to combine business and his passion for travel in 2012, he made his dream a reality.
Ever optimistic and believing every challenge is an opportunity to do something great, Emil did not shrink back from the challenges the Covid pandemic brought to the travel industry. In fact, BCN Montjuic Tourist Point came out even stronger after the pandemic, with more alluring destinations and memorable adventures to offer.
Emil’s name is the ‘Lime’ in the mother company’s name, Limebuns Travel and Tours.
Jennelyn N. Valenzuela
Co-Founder / Travel Planning Director
A Banking and Finance graduate, Jennelyn is also a passionate traveler. Originally from nature-blessed and culture-rich Bicol in the Philippines, Jennie discovered her love for travel when she worked with the royal family of Morocco. They traveled to different cities and countries, igniting her enthusiasm for travel.
Jennelyn arrived in Spain in 2008, where she met Emil. They discovered they shared the same love for travel and adventure. Together, they founded Limebuns Travel and Tours in 2012, which later evolved into the company’s present form, BCN Montjuic Tourist Point.
Jennie is the ‘buns’ in Limebuns, ‘buns’ being short for bunso, the Filipino word for the youngest among siblings. As I’m sure you’ve guessed, she is the youngest in her family.
