OUR STORY
Founded in April 2012 by Emil C. Maravillas and Jennelyn N. Valenzuela, BCN Montjuic Tourist Point (BCNMTPOINT) began as Limebuns Adventure Travel, born from a shared passion for travel, exploration, and creating meaningful experiences for visitors to Barcelona and Europe. From its beginnings as an online travel provider specializing in inbound tourism, the company developed into a professionally managed destination business focused on private, small-group, and personalized travel experiences. In April 2017, the company established its office in Barcelona under the trade name Limebuns Travel & Tours, with BCN Montjuic Tourist Point as its customer-facing brand.
Our Name & Philosophy
The name BCN Montjuic Tourist Point reflects the company's connection to Barcelona and its role as a trusted point of contact for travelers discovering the destination. BCN represents Barcelona, our home base; Montjuic reflects one of the city's most distinctive landmarks and its rich cultural heritage; and Tourist Point represents our philosophy of being a reliable and welcoming partner for travelers seeking professionally planned experiences.
Our approach is centered on personalized travel design rather than standardized, one-size-fits-all itineraries. We specialize in working with small and private groups, taking the time to understand each client's interests, priorities, schedule, pace, and specific requirements. Whether the objective is cultural discovery, gastronomy, leisure, business travel, family travel, cruise excursions, or a combination of experiences, our itineraries are carefully designed around the client—not the other way around. This allows us to provide a more personal level of attention, greater flexibility, and a consistently high standard of service.
From Destination Planning to Complete Ground Operations
Over the years, BCNMTPOINT has expanded its expertise beyond traditional sightseeing to provide comprehensive destination management and ground-handling services. Our services include tailor-made itineraries, private guided tours, cruise shore excursions, airport and hotel transfers, accommodation coordination, event and group logistics, and private passenger transportation. We work directly with travelers as well as travel agencies, corporate clients, and international partners, providing a single point of contact for the planning and coordination of their destination experience.
In 2025, BCN Montjuic Tourist Point further strengthened its operational capabilities by establishing its own licensed passenger transport operation in Spain, adding in-house minicoach transportation to its range of destination services. This allows us to coordinate transportation, guiding, itinerary planning, and other ground services more efficiently while providing our clients with greater flexibility, comfort, and continuity throughout their journey.
Today
Today, BCN Montjuic Tourist Point operates as a boutique Destination Management Company (DMC) and Inbound Tour Operator, specializing in premium, private, and reduced-size groups. We serve clients from around the world who value personalized service, thoughtful planning, local knowledge, and the flexibility to travel according to their own interests and pace.
Rather than focusing on volume, we focus on quality, attention to detail, and meaningful client relationships. From a private Barcelona experience to a multi-day European journey, our role is to understand what each client wants to experience and transform those requirements into a carefully coordinated and professionally managed travel program.

COMPANY VISIONARIES
Emil Maravillas
Founder/Managing Director
Emil graduated with a degree in Economics in the Philippines while working as a Technical Assistant and serving as a youth leader in his hometown. Over nearly a decade, he gained extensive experience in administration, coordination, community engagement, and public affairs, including his work as a Technical Assistant supporting several of the province’s political affairs offices. In 2006, he relocated to Barcelona, Spain, where he worked as an Administrative Assistant at Harley-Davidson Barcelona until mid-2009. During this period, he was also actively involved in Barcelona’s Filipino community, serving as Founder and President of a Filipino organization and Vice President of another active community organization, further developing his leadership, organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
In the summer of 2009, Emil moved into the international business sector as an Outbound Sales Manager for a real estate company, with professional assignments in Switzerland and Germany. Working across different European markets strengthened his expertise in sales, business development, client relationship management, negotiation, and international operations, while broadening his understanding of working with clients and business partners from different cultural and professional backgrounds. This combination of administrative, leadership, sales, and international business experience provided a strong foundation for his transition into entrepreneurship and the travel industry.
A passionate traveler, hiker, and explorer, Emil combined his professional experience with his longstanding interest in travel and founded Limebuns Adventure Travel in 2012, which later evolved into Limebuns Travel and Tours and ultimately BCN Montjuic Tourist Point (BCNMTPOINT). Throughout the challenges faced by the travel industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, he remained actively involved in the business, adapting its operations and strengthening its range of destinations and services. Today, as Founder, Emil continues to oversee the strategic direction and development of BCNMTPOINT, with a professional approach grounded in careful planning, international experience, operational coordination, client service, and a strong understanding of destination travel. He is also the “Lime” in LIMEBUNS, S.L., the company’s legal entity.
Jennelyn Valenzuela
Co-Founder/Travel Planning Director
A graduate of Banking and Finance, Jennelyn began her international career immediately after completing her degree in the Philippines in 2004. From 2004 to early 2008, she worked in Morocco and Paris as a Personal Assistant to a member of the Moroccan royal family, where she was entrusted with the logistical coordination of the Princess’s children during their international travels. This experience developed her ability to work with discretion, precision, and professionalism in an international and highly confidential environment. In 2008, she relocated to Barcelona, where she worked concurrently as a Business Development Officer and Administrative Officer for a real estate representative office, gaining valuable experience in business development, administration, client relations, and operational coordination.
From 2013 to 2017, Jennelyn worked as a remittance service officer in Barcelona, for one of the largest money remittance companies in Europe, serving clients of diverse nationalities and backgrounds. This role further strengthened her expertise in customer service, financial transactions, accuracy, and multicultural client relations. Meanwhile, in 2012, she and Emil established Limebuns Adventure Travel, combining their professional experience with their shared passion for travel and exploration. The company later became Limebuns Travel and Tours and eventually evolved into its present brand, BCN Montjuic Tourist Point (BCNMTPOINT). In 2017, Jennelyn transitioned to working full-time with BCNMTPOINT, dedicating herself to the continued development of the business.
Today, Jennelyn serves as Co-Founder and Travel Planning Director, overseeing travel planning and helping develop carefully designed travel experiences for clients from around the world. Her professional background across international personal assistance, business development, administration, financial services, and customer relations has shaped her meticulous and service-oriented approach to travel planning. The story behind the company name is personal as well: Jennelyn is the “Buns” in LIMEBUNS, a shortened form of bunso, the Filipino word for the youngest sibling—fittingly, she is the youngest in her family.
